Meet the Staff

Mondau Family
Area Director - Kevin Mondau

Kevin and his wife, Becka, live in West Olympia with their kids, Parker, Avery and Bailey. Kevin attended Western Washington University, and graduated in 2004 with a BA in Human Services. He also has a MA in Christian Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary. Kevin got involved with Young Life as a student at Capital HS, became a volunteer leader in college, and then an intern following graduation. Living in Ferndale at the time, he became the Area Director for North Whatcom County in 2007, and then returned home to lead Greater Olympia in 2015.

Kevin is responsible for leading the area strategy and staff, recruiting leaders, and working on starting new ministry in the area.  He also leads the development of the committee, community, and financial support for the minsitry.

Parker Family
Area Administrator - Jaclynn Parker

Jaclynn and her husband, Alex, have called this area "home" since 2008. They live in West Olympia with their son, Jackson, and daughter, Alexandra. Alex is a Spanish teacher at Capital High School and leads the Young Life team there. Jaclynn attended Washington State University and graduated in 2002 with a BA in Apparel, Merchandising, and Interior Textiles. Jaclynn attended Young Life Club as a student at Rogers HS in Puyallup and now helps lead at Capital with her husband. She joined the Greater Olympia staff at the end of 2013. 

Jaclynn is responsible for managing the office and providing administrative support to the staff and leaders.

Van Lierop Family
Staff Associate - Felicia Van Lierop

Felicia and her husband, Cole, are from the Thurston County area. They both attended Wenatchee Valley College, where they met while each playing basketball for two years. After returning to the Lacey area, they both finished at St. Martin's University, where Felicia graduated with a BA in Business Finance in 2014. Felicia got involved with Young Life as a student at Rainier HS, and later became a volunteer leader there while she finished college. After working in the corporate world for three years, she felt a call to join the Young Life staff in 2017.

Felicia is a Team Leader for the new startup ministry at Timberline HS, and she is spending a good amount of her time in training. She will be assisting with leader recruitment and training, as well as supervising the ministry teams around the area.
