FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Which camp do I go to? The grades listed for each camp trip are referring to the current grade a student is in, NOT the grade they are going into after summer break.
Are there any lingering Covid requirements in place for Canada? As of October 1st, 2022 there are no vaccination or testing requirements to enter Canada. This is subject to change, and we will post updates as needed.
Is there a camp option for 6th graders? In the past there has been a camp specifically for 6th graders, but unfortunately this camp is no longer in operation.
Are the spots limited? Yes, each trip is limited to a certain number of campers. If we run out of spots any following registrants will be notified that they are on the waitlist. They are likely to still get to go, but not guaranteed.
If I'm on the waitlist, when will I know if you get more spots? In March we will open up any remaining spots that are currently reserved for certain groups. Any available spots will be given to students on the waitlist in the order of their registration. If you are still on the waitlist after that time, there is a good chance you could still go, but we might not find out until we get closer to camp.
How do we get to camp? We use a charter bus to transport kids and leaders to their camps. Transportation is included in the cost of camp.
Can I put down a deposit and make payments? Yes! The $100 deposit is needed to secure a spot for camp. After that, you can either pay in full or make payments. If you cannot afford the $100 deposit, talk to your leader.
Are deposits refundable? Deposits were fully refundable up until March 25, 2024. We will consider extenuating circumstances.
When do I need to have full payment in? All payments are due two weeks before each camp trip.
I'm not sure if I can afford camp. Is there any help for me? Yes! We have organized a number of fundraising opportunities to help you raise money once you are registered with a deposit. Check the fundraiser page! Scholarships will also be available for families in need. Talk to your leader for more information about scholarships.
Who will be my leader(s) at camp? Most likely they will be the leaders you know from club. This is also determined by leaders' schedules and how many kids sign up from each school.
Can I come to camp even if I do not go to Young Life or WyldLife Club? Certainly! Bring your friends!
Can I go with a friend from another school? All schools from Lacey, Olympia, and Tumwater travel and attend camp together. The housing is broken up by school, but you will be able to spend lots of time with friends from other schools for sure!
